- Garage floors and doors
According to toRemodelingmagazines 2016 Cost vs. Value report homeowners can expect to recoup 97% of their investment in a new garage door. Attractive garage doors not only increase the curb appealof the home but can also protect the home from hurricane winds. The appearance the garage door should complement the exterior of the home and careful consideration should be given to the color and style of the garage doors. The interior of the garage is also important as it adds to the functional appealof the house. Nowadays garages are used not just for parking cars but as a "man cave", storage centers and hobby playgrounds.
Some homeowners have equipped their garages with track lighting, airconditioning and TV's to create a warm comfortable space for their after work interests such as wood crafting, painting etc. If you want to use your garage just for storage yet want it to look like any other room in the home there are several options available to you.
Let's start with the floors. Garage floors can get really grotty looking from the tire tread marks of your car and the occasional oil drip. So after you have cleared out all the stuff from your garage, thrown away what you don't need and temporarily stashed what you want to keep, turn your attention to the floor. There are several options for the floor but the simplest and most cost effective one I found was power washing and simple epoxy paint.
